A COURSE FOR GARDENING WORKERS - GARDEN MAINTENANCE AND FLORICULTURE HAS BEEN LAUNCHED
As of today, the Center for Human Resources Development and Regional Initiatives has launched a new course in Garden maintenance and floriculture. It has been attended by 12 participants who will be trained for a period of 40 days, acquiring a first degree of professional qualification as Gardening Workers.
The course program includes both theoretical classes and intensive practical training. The theoretical part covers 70 hours and will introduce the participants to health and safety at work, economics and entrepreneurship. The practical training of 250 hours will provide knowledge and skills in the field of botany, information about soil types, labor law, communication skills and teamwork.
The specific professional training includes introducing future specialists to park vegetation, classification of flowers, principles of interior landscaping and various methods of plant propagation. Participants will learn to work in a park environment and will acquire skills in a variety of compositions and styles.
The course is conducted according to a pre-approved schedule, and the training is carried out in the well equipped classrooms and computer rooms at CHRDRI, as well as in specially prepared outdoor areas for practical classes. The completion of the course will be marked by passing a state exam in theory and practice, after which the participants will receive a Certificate of Professional Qualification.
The aim is to prepare specialists who will be successful in the labor market in the field of gardens maintenance and floriculture. Persons who have completed the course will have the opportunity to work both in state and municipal enterprises, as well as in private companies operating in the field of gardening, green construction and landscape.
