Seminar on "Working with Candidates for Children Adoption and Adoptees - Study and Evaluation of Candidates. Monitoring and Support of Children and Families in the Two-year Post-adoption Period"

On July 19, 2016 in CHRDRI began training on "Working with Candidates for Children Adoption and Adoptees - Study and Evaluation of Candidates. Monitoring and Support of Children and Families in The Two-Year Post-Adoption Period".  The training was two days and was intended for employees on expert officials from the territorial structures of the Social Assistance Agency. The employees  should have experience in working with candidates for adoptive parents and adopted children, should  have been involved in assessing the suitability of prospective adoptive parents and post-adoption monitoring. Lecturers  of the training were Mrs. Detelina Ignatova and Mrs. Tsvetanka Bahchevandzhieva. The objectives of the workshop are for the  participants to deepen their knowledge in carrying out the investigation and assessment of suitability of prospective adoptive parents. The participants will gain new knowledge about the support of the child and the adoptive parents in the post-adoption period – preparing  a report on monitoring of post-adoption period, referrals to social services. Upon successful completion participants will receive a certificate.
