Development of Specific Interviewing Skills for Assessing the Individual Support Needs of People with Permanent Disabilities
On November 15, 2024, the Regional Directorate of CHRDRI in Stara Zagora conducted a practical training on "Development of Specific Interviewing Skills for Assessing the Individual Support Needs of People with Permanent Disabilities." The training was held in person and lasted for eight academic hours.
The practicum was aimed at employees in managerial and expert positions and social workers from the territorial units of the Social Assistance Agency (SAA) who have up to three years of experience in conducting needs assessments. Its main objective was to enhance the participants' skills in implementing procedures for providing support to people with disabilities in line with current regulatory requirements.
During the training, participants developed and refined their skills in conducting interviews with people with permanent disabilities and preparing individualized support needs assessments according to the "Methodology for Conducting Individual Needs Assessments for Support of People with Disabilities."
After successfully completing the practicum, participants will receive a certificate of participation according to CHRDRI’s approved standards. The event was led by Ms. Tsvetomira Popova, Chief Expert in the "Integration of People with Disabilities" Department at the General Directorate "Social Assistance" within the Central Administration of SAA.
