Expert meeting on Current Aspects of the National Employment Action Plan 2020. Priorities of the Employment Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria (2021 - 2030)

A working expert meeting on Current Aspects of the National Employment Action Plan 2020. Priorities of the Employment Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria (2021 - 2030) is held at CHRDRI on 21st November 2019. The event has an inter-institutional character, bringing together representatives of various institutions and organizations involved in the development of strategic and planning documents in the field of employment policy. These are employees from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Social Assistance Agency, the Employment Agency, the National Statistical Institute, the Agency for People with Disabilities, the Industrial Association capital in Bulgaria, CITUB and others.

The forum is discussing a draft version of the National Action Plan for Employment 2020, which is a mechanism for adjusting the labor market to sustainability, balance and better functioning. The vision of the plan is aimed at increasing the efficiency and quality of human capital and improving labor supply through training, development of key skills, subsidized employment for inactive groups and various measures to activate inactive people in the labor market. Particular attention is paid to the guiding principles of the new National Employment Strategy 2021-2030 in the context of changes in labor market policies. Creating an opportunity to discuss two of the most important and current topics in the formation and implementation of labor market policies, the initiative aims to support and upgrade the interaction between institutions and organizations working in this field.

 

The event was opened with a welcoming words from the Director of CHRDRI, Mr. Alexander Shopov and a greeting address was sent from the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mr. Lazar Lazarov, who defined the workshop as a platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas for next year and the next decade.

The meeting is financed by project BG05M9OP001-3.015 "Integrated trainings for the administration of the labor market and in the social sphere", funded by OP HRD 2014 - 2020.
