From November 11 to 13, 2024, a practical seminar will be held at the Regional Directorate – Pleven of the Center for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives (CHRDRI), titled “Amendments and Additions to Regulations Governing the Provision of Social Assistance under the Social Assistance Act and its Implementing Regulations.” The seminar will take place in person and will consist of 16 training hours.

The aim of the training is to provide social workers from the "Social Assistance" directorates (SAP) within the Agency for Social Assistance (ASA) with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills related to the application of regulations in the field of social assistance. Participants will explore best practices and models that can support their work in providing social services, along with effective approaches for assessing the eligibility for social assistance of individuals and families.

The seminar program includes topics designed to guide social workers in applying an analytical approach when assessing eligibility for social assistance, thereby contributing to the improvement of service quality in SAP.

The seminar will be led by Ms. Rumyana Hristova, Chief Expert in the “Social and Family Assistance” Department at the General Directorate “Social Assistance” in ASA. With around 30 years of experience in the social sector, she will provide practical advice and guidance to help participants apply the latest regulatory updates and enhance their skills in client interactions.
