International Seminar on "Legislative Provision of Social Economy"
Today, June 2, 2016, in CHRDRI was launched an international seminar on "Legislative provision of social economy." It is part of a series of seminars that the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Center have organized and held since 2011. During these seminars are debated and discussed relevant aspects related to the development of social entrepreneurship in the country. To participate in the event are invited representatives of MLSP and SLUs to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, representatives of social partner organizations; governmental institutions; representatives of the social economy sector in the country, and other stakeholders. Remote participation via skype will take also key experts from the member states of the EU working in the field of social economy. The seminar was opened by Ms. Teodora Todorova - expert at MLSP. Welcoming gave Mrs. Violeta Zlatanova - head of the "Living standard, income from work and social economy" Division, “Strategic planning and demographic policy” Directorate, who stressed the need for a legal framework in the field of social economy in order to stimulate social entrepreneurship, increasing its competitiveness and increasing social and economic impact of the activities of participants in this sector. The event took place under agreement between the ILO-ITC and CHRDRI, and aims at sharing international experience, good practices and formulating concrete proposals to provide the basis for future regulatory document regulating social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria.
